We all know the old hymn "Amazing Grace", but do you ever really think about the words?

God's grace really is Amazing with a capital A. When I think of the part "I once was lost but now I'm found" I think of wondering around in the woods not knowing which way to go. I would probably wonder around in circles frustrated and confused and then God gives me a bop in the back of the head and says "go that way" and I say thanks and go about my regular life...seems like I should probably be a little more grateful right?

Now when I think about the part "Was blind but now I see" I normally think of, you know a dude w/ black glasses and a cane who can't see, but if I get past the simple definition of the word blind and dig deeper I think about how I am spiritually blind. Whether it's because I am intentionally blocking God or not I go spiritually blind and wonder why my life sucks. When I stop moping and ask God for help He opens my eyes so I can see what I need to fix, which is sometimes a lot of stuff.

So yeah that basically came out of nowhere, I was listening to the song below and starting thinking about the lyrics and here is an impromptu xanga post

*Going door to door in the rain and splashing in puddles along the way
*Running through Wal-Mart throwing a bouncy ball w/ Jennifer and Mary Claire
*Playing 4 square and kickball in the church parking lot while waiting on Pauls crew to get there
* Blackmail bulletins *wink at Jennifer*
*Playing Mafia and Dance Revolution
*Beating up on Jennifer
*Passing VW dealerships and trying to beat each other up when we saw punch buggies
* Me and Jennifer calling each other every name we could ever think of for about 30 min
*Being in Pauls van *W00T*
*Dancing in the back seat w/ Hayden and Jennifer to We Like the Party by VengaBoys and Love Addict
*Dying our hair
*WHITVSITV
* Midnight swimming in my jeans and t-shirt, cannon ball contests, not being able to dunk Hayden or Andrew
